Elite S3 <225 G is an enhanced successor of the Tufo's best seller S3 Lite <215g in addition to improved tread pattern, it has a new carcass with higher 210/375 TPI count and wider base tape. VECTRAN for DRILL BARRIER

This highly effective puncture-proof system sits directly under the tread. A core of the anti-puncture system is made of VECTRAN, crystalline polymer fibers (LCP) that are 5 times stronger than steel.
VECTRAN also offers high resistance to cuts and impacts with a reduced weight, in short, high performance for high-end tires.

SPC SILICA BAND COMPOUND

We use this special rubber compound in most of our road tubes - with hardness SH A 66, this mix of synthetic and natural rubber enriched with Active Silica gives the tubes excellent grip in wet conditions and offers low resistance to corrosion rolling.

TUBULAR

Tubular

1. The base layer is made of cotton.

2. The tread is made of rubber compound with active silica, silica or carbon black (depending on the model).
3. Protective rubber layer located under the tread, which indicates the wear of the tubular and the greater possibility of punctures when this layer appears (depending on models).
4. Anti-puncture layer, made of a braided rubber compound, reinforced with ELC.
5. The carcass layers overlap and adhere under the tread, increasing the TPI (threads per inch) and offering greater resistance to punctures.
6. The carcass is made of 2 layers of reverse orientation braided rubber compound bonded and reinforced with ELCS.
7. The airtight inner layer is a special butyl rubber compound, with very low air permeability allowing long inflation intervals. The solid bond between the watertight layer and the carcass offers low rolling resistance.
