High-Precision Ultrasonic Cleaner

The Super Sonic is a high-precision ultrasonic cleaner, specially developed for deep cleaning your bike chain and components such as derailleur pulleys. The precise ultrasonic vibrations remove factory grease, grime, oil and wax residues completely. This means your chain is cleaned deep inside the links for a spotless result. 

Ultrasonic cleaning is the most efficient and effective way to clean your chain deep into its core. Stable and precise ultrasonic sound waves at 40 kHz create millions of microscopic bubbles that implode against the links, removing dirt, wax and oil from every crevice. The built-in heating element warms the liquid up to 80 °C, making the cleaning process even more effective and leaving no chance for stubborn residues. With the digital controls, you can precisely set both temperature and cleaning time.
The 1.3-litre tank is large enough to fully submerge your chain without requiring too much liquid. The Super Sonic is built from high-quality, durable components that deliver top performance, even with frequent use.


Recommendation: use a solution of 20–30% Striptease and 80–70% water with the Super Sonic.

Application

  1. Fill the tank with 200 ml Striptease and 700 ml water, then connect the power.
  2. Set the temperature using the TEMP+ / TEMP− buttons (up to 80 °C).
  3. Wait until the liquid reaches the desired temperature before placing the chain in the tank.
  4. Remove any heavy dirt manually and place the chain in the basket.
  5. Lower the basket into the tank and cover it with the lid to maintain the temperature.
  6. Set the cleaning time using the TIME+ / TIME− buttons (1–30 minutes), then press TIME ON/OFF to start ultrasonic cleaning. For best results, leave the chain in the Super Sonic for at least 10 minutes.
  7. After cleaning, turn off the Super Sonic and let everything cool down. Clean the tank after each use.

Why clean your chain ultrasonically before hot waxing?

Ultrasonic cleaning makes your chain ultra clean. The 40 kHz vibrations create microscopic bubbles that implode against the links, removing factory grease, oil and old wax residues. This ensures the hot wax adheres perfectly, giving you a quieter drivetrain and reduced wear.

Which liquid and ratio should I use?

The Super Sonic performs best with Striptease. Use a mix of 200 ml Striptease and 700 ml water (≈ 30/70). Prefer using another cleaner? Make sure it’s water-based. Replace the liquid once it becomes visibly dirty, or after 1 to 3 chains if they’re heavily contaminated.

What’s the ideal temperature and cleaning time?

The ideal temperature is between 70 and 80 °C. At this range, even old wax residues melt away. The minimum cleaning time is 10 minutes. Is your chain heavily soiled? Start with 15–20 minutes, and if needed, repeat the cleaning briefly. Tip: remove coarse dirt manually before placing your chain in the Super Sonic.

Can I clean other parts (e.g. derailleur pulleys)?

Yes, derailleur pulleys and small steel components can go in the basket. Avoid immersing delicate parts, sealed bearings or electronics. Cassettes and chainrings can also be cleaned in the Super Sonic, depending on their size. Place all parts carefully in the basket.

How do I maintain the Super Sonic? And how do I use it safely?

The user should be an adult in good condition to operate the Super Sonic. Stick to a steady routine: pre-clean – ultrasonic clean – clean the Super Sonic – dry – hot wax process. Never use flammable liquids in the Super Sonic, and don’t let the tank run dry. Use the lid during cleaning to maintain the temperature. After use, unplug the Super Sonic and allow the tank to cool down before cleaning. Wipe the tank with water and a dry cloth, don’t use aggressive or flammable cleaning products.
